Romeo & Juliet
Romance and violence go side by side in Crowle Entertainers' latest production. Knife crime, food banks and gang warfare are ever present in our summer production, which will be a modern take on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Set on a council estate where gang violence breaks out on a regular basis, the two star-crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet find love, and ultimately tragedy, amidst the ongoing family feuds on the estate.
Edited and directed by Gill Vickers, with a current and edgy soundscape of music and a vibrant urban setting, this is Shakespeare as you've never seen it before. Whether you're a Shakespeare fan or are new to the works of the Bard, this is a production which you can't afford to miss!
